Pros

Flexible - working from home.

Cons

I used to love to work for this company until ut went downhill…management/directors recruit all their friends. They don’t listen, don’t take any advice and make changes left and right. There is no longer transparency in the company. Neo4j has lost a lot of great people and have recruited people in management positions that has turned this company down.

Pros

Great customers and great product

Cons

Leadership/Management don't listen. 0 communication, 0 transparency. Teams/Departments are now working in silot without talking to/collaborating with other teams/departments. "Recognition" given to friends or people who talk but don't do anything. Actual doers gets nothing.

Pros

- Very bright and nice colleagues (a lot of long timers have left in the past 2 years, and some are actively planning to leave ASAP) - State-of-the-art and fascinating technology - Quite flexible WFH - Team get-togethers are well-planned and good for morale

Cons

- I would not recommend this company for long-term career growth. There is currently limited/no budget allocation for professional development, while management continues to push costly, unnecessary tech tools that do not contribute to becoming cash-flow positive, indicating poor resource management. - Incentives are misaligned across teams and departments. In some areas, individuals resort to scapegoating and aggressive tactics to meet objectives, fostering a cutthroat, every-person-for-themselves atmosphere. - While many recent promotions have taken place (which is positive), they often appear more as retention tactics than recognition of merit. Salary increases have been underwhelming, and compensation varies significantly among teams with comparable technical skills and impact. - The original company culture has deteriorated, largely due to the departure of those who shaped it. Hires over the past 2 years have only accelerated this decline (goodbye A players, hello B and C players!) - Given the current market and opportunity costs, there are stronger and more promising companies to work for. - Approximately 50% of management lacks the necessary qualifications and competence, routinely demonstrating poor decision-making, weak execution, and a very limited grasp of first principles thinking.
