Where do I begin. The ELT has completely lost touch with the individuals who move the metal. The turnover in the CMH is insane ( It was called strat-ops , now it's scheduling give it 6 months it will change again) The individuals that move the pieces around to no fault of their own, are thrown to the wolves. These poor people have a hard time making decisions regarding where to move the plane and when.
Now regarding circadian rhythm. Asking a human to change time zones by three hours, go to sleep then in exactly 12 hours wake up and fly for 6 hours, go to the hotel, sleep for 10 hours and wake up and fly at 8 am in another time zone. You will be whiplashed on your sleep, you will not get a say in it. You can fatigue but you will be punished (aircraft will be removed from the crew, and you will airline to a broken aircraft where you will sit until it is ready or your go home day. Which ever is first.)Lastly the pay. 30percent of your pay is not guaranteed. Some people may be confused by this. Well 30 percent of your pay comes from FDP or basically flying over 10 hours. here is the kicker, you don't have control over it at all. So you can fly tired or you can fly and make a pay check, but you cant have your cake and eat it as well.
