Pros

Cons
Not really found any yet
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Decent pay and lots of benefits.
Cons
Unpredictable they changed strategy and said wanted to lose 2/3 of engineers in my area.

Pros
- Genuinely remote working. - Genuinely flexible working. - Genuinely inclusive company. - Genuinely modern in ways of working (proper agile workstreams).
Cons
- Managers who have no experience in the UX trade are apparent and this leaked into group meetings. But their culture is a hierarchy based way of working and it's sadly growing. Discouraging. - People who play politics only win in the department. Being good at UX doesn't mean much...as in they'll happily hire someone if they sound component and their soft skills shine. I found that very odd—respect genuine UX and doing the right thing for the user. - People genuinely steal work and then claim the lime-light—a lot of politics. - Most new designers are 'Senior'. I feel like this is a cover for an inferior department trying to look good with experienced colleagues. There is a clear lack of DesignOps.

Pros
Development, salary, benefits, way forward .
Cons
Joined with SSE and that took a lot of time to settle down
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Not that much, good benefits i guess.
Cons
No bonus, Force-fed wokeness, Bad pay, Fake mission, Too many pet projects

Pros
good team mates and direct manager
Cons
To many to list SSE took over morale left the business a bonus scheme that cant be achieve schedulers that are incompetent higher management that have lost touch with the business after to much involvement from sse used to be the best place to work now only care about facts and figures. Keep dangling a carrot for progression but then lie about it over and over.

Pros
- Super progressive people policies - Great approach to flexible working - Well remunerated
Cons
- Nothing jumps out as an immediate downside
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Great people, great benefits (including 9% additional cash on top of your salary for extra insurance, cycle to work scheme, tech voucher, pension, etc). Subsidised gym on site and cafe, and options to work flexible and remote are the norm, not the exception. Great opportunities to develop and advance your career.
Cons
My main criticism is that OVO like to most FAST over everything else, and strategy and governance often fall to the wayside. The company is growing through a bit of a transition with the merger with SSE that has caused a bit of culture conflict, but overall is a great environment to work in.

Pros
-Everyone at OVO feels inspired by their Plan Zero sustainability strategy -It's a great experience working with the Sustainability team, who are excellent at driving the net zero strategy for the business.
Cons
- Micro-management: one particular manager provided very little scope for independence. Whilst making a more junior executive work additional weekends outside of the agreed contract -Little career progression: no promotion or salary incentives set -Most team members are overworked, which was exacerbated by company growth and industry challenges.
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
genuine about flexible/hybrid working model, senior leaders are transparent when any business changes, feels like a positive work environment where everyone working to our goals and mission
Cons
some processes need reviewing so consistent best practice observed
