Pros

Strong brand, remote work, strong training in the most advanced aspects of cyber. Hard to offer more positives when I'm about to leave the company.

Cons

The CEO has been a debacle for the company and brand. Ning Wang has lost the respect and confidence of the majority of the employees, and most of the executive team departed the company in the last year. Where is the inspiration? Where is the vision? Where are the basic leadership skills? It is almost tragic to watch the unraveling of OffSec over the past few months with department after department dismantled and its employees terminated. Compensation is below industry averages. Lower than expected enterprise traction due to - shocker - lack of recurring value. This can be directly traced to the lack of product expertise and a failure by the CEO to prioritize properly. Low retention rates are the death of a subscription business.

Pros

Excellent teamwork Super smart folks Amazing products that help the world be a safer place Team events (before COVID) Flexible work Truly want(ed) a great product for the students, not for the $$$

Cons

Ning. This was a company that used to be AMAZING! When they said it was a family, it really was. Now they still try to say this and it is not even close. The CEO is narcissistic and in love with herself even though she doesn’t have the skills to run this type of company, but she will gladly spout out her education and experience every chance she gets. She killed an amazing place created my superior founders. Now the founders won’t touch it because of her. She lies so much I think she believes her own lies. Just look at the leadership team. She claims it is diverse. It is her and a bunch of white men. How is that diverse? She brags about women in Cyber, where are the women on the leadership team? She says the workforce has always been 100% remote? Really what about those 3 offices you pay for? When leaders leave (and so many have!) she makes up outlandish stories to try and tarnish their name. The rest of the C suite isn’t much better, all falling in line behind their leader. I hope someday the investors who bought Offsec will wake up and realize all the good people they have lost at this woman’s leadership and that they will never recoup their investment as long as she is there. Sadly the students are the ones who pay the price for poor leadership. Thank goodness more competition is gaining traction.
