Owners lost interest in company Benefits have been roll back: annual cash bonus replaced by equity shares (worth nothing if company not sold); PTO policy recently "modernize" (fewer PTO days) Never challenged to learn anything new Very poor communication from higher ups (no communication when are people leaving company or being fired, or policy change)

Company seems lost. The business hasn't grown since 2008-2009 and faces challenges and disconnects in the market. Two of the partners have sidelined the third - an expert in the content and processes that built the business and a product visionary. The other partners have changed the company's product direction over and over without success. From the company's history, they held a true leadership position in the market but let it slip away by refusing the advice of middle managers and letting their internal experts make decisions. The two primary partners are secretive and have been outgrown by technology and business trends.

Sales people are grossly underpaid, Focus is lacking for the company's future, People tend to leave often

Management is cheap as sin, will threaten your job after the one month honeymoon is over. Marketing is atrocious, but falls into the "favorites" group, so get a pass for doing the same horrible job over and over. They have 15 employees, and only three or four stay, as most quit or get fired when management in one of their steroid induced moods. Will cut commissions if they want to, and cant do anything about it. Zero training, cheapskates. Make it seem fun when start, but then are mean. When VP s father ill, mgmt demanded to know when he would be back in office. If you get in early, but leave at 5 they will send nasty emails. Mgmt saves best sales for themselves,and leaves early every day and never in on Friday. Wasnt planning on writing a review, but when I saw two positives in a week, and was told by friends still there, I knew they were asked to write reviews. Only reason to work here is to get paid while waiting for real job.

Smaller team means each team member owns his or her project. A lot of responsibility and transparency. There's great potential, but if there's a mistake or misstep, there's nowhere to hide.

-Owners will threaten your job every day as a habit -Owners will take larger deals for selves so do not have to pay commission -Marketing consists of sending emails to same people hoping results will change. -Owners play favorites and will give deals to their favorites. Will look other way when their "crew" does bad job -cheap as sin. Will talk about you under breath about a perk you were promised but never received. Just a horrible place to work. Started looking for job shortly into tenure

Not really a con, but the company is launching into some new areas and products and this is a very creative/fluid time. If you like to contribute on a high level and dive into the details of making things happen, then you'll enjoy your work.
