      Absolute shambles

      Pros

      Underlying technology could revolutionise many industries.

      Cons

      Sold opportunity to work from home which was total rubbish. Home became 'remote' meaning you work at client site far from home. Fundamentally poor project management. Waterfall in an agile world. No decent training. Absolute bs to clients at every opportunity. Will lie to get you into role and not listen to anything they don't want to hear. CEO is called ruthless when in reality, he simply doesn't understand the UK market and the way to manage projects in the UK. Didn't even send a P45 at the end of employment.

      Pros

      OpenSpan really is great company to work for. The products are popular with clients and post implementation issues are few and far between. The Teams in the US, EMEA or APAC are very helpful and friendly. Pay is competitive and work environments are flexible,

      Cons

      Quite a lot of travelling, but this is expected in modern software companies.

      Pros

      Freedom to get on with projects and to take initiative. Varied work in a lot of different fields.

      Cons

      Company sometimes finds it hard to define a clear career progression path. Can be a little chaotic in the UK with HQ in the US although the company is clearly working to improve this lately.
