    Pros

Good people, good company overall. If you are self-motivated you can do absolutely anything.

    Cons

Too much politics at times in the London office. No structure in terms of who does what and not enough training given. Constant fear when guys from US were about to arrive.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you hire a good MD that will motivate people and will make them want to stay.

    Pros

Agile env with scrum. Young and fun to work and play with people. Loved it

    Cons

The scrum implementation was a bit broken, but management was willing on improving things. Considering that it was over 6y ago, it should have been fixed by now.

    Advice to Management

    improve scrum

    I worked at OpenX full-time

    Pros

It was a great place to work from a social standpoint. Met lots of great people that I still work with today at other partners. Learned several skills that have stuck with me and opened the doors to many personal/professional opportunities.

    Cons

The product is stale. You guys basically invented the header bidder ad service/product and now don't even come up in industry conversations on the topic. Too many competitors are doing it better/smarter and in more innovative ways. Same can be said for the exchange itself.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company to an ad tech platform that can help turn it around. I highly doubt IPO is an option as there are already too many competitors in the space that are public or are going public. It was a good run but time to retire.

    Pros

Great benefits, open door policy, accommodations, location

    Cons

CTO just announced he is leaving because they need someone local to HQ. Hmm. Shouldnt they have figured that out before they hired him? They knew he was from the bay area. So stop with the bull, no one is buying it. When you treat us as fools, we stop giving a crap.

Most of engineering leadership is based in SC. So how does that work? Seems to be backwards. I wish they just admit he was awful and that they made a mistake in hiring instead using a cover up. The CTO personally ran out or was involved in running out 30+ indidvuals in the last 6 months. What did he accomplish??? He hired a few manager-level "VPs". He is not leaving us in a better state. He is leaving us with a mess.

Honestly, a very inept CTO and one without any true understanding of people or process. If we want to make a REAL difference, let's go a bit further and take out the VPs. They need to go as well.

    Advice to Management

Stop the waste. Stop the bleeding. Stop the lack of ownership. Make OpenX great again.

Industry changes so fast that we get punished more when we drag our good ideas out too long before going live. Need to place more bets.
