    Pros

OpenX is an innovative company with a clear vision and strategy. One of the best things about working for this company is spending your days surrounded by great people. Employees across the globe are hard working, smart, creative, helpful, motivating and fun! Management really care about staff and are always looking for ideas and suggestions on how things can get done differently to make them better. It's a great place to start and build your career.

    Cons

    Can't really think of any

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!

I have been working at OpenX full-time

    Pros

Modern office in a central location. Snacks and free lunch provided 3 times a week.

    Cons

Constant fighting between teams. Lack of leadership and overall chaos in recent months. The office is a shadow of its former self and has reduced in size by at least 50% over the past year. Redundancies and resignations happen weekly, further harming office morale.

    Advice to Management

Clear leadership is needed. The office is dysfunctional and needs help.

    I worked at OpenX full-time

    Pros

Great offices, good benefits (daily lunch, contribution to travel expenses, contribution to gym membership, etc).

    Cons

Unfortunately, senior management is not open to receiving any criticism. As soon as you raise any issues or point out problems, you get blacklisted by your manager. This senior management attitude has created a very bad culture of backstabbing and dishonesty.
    HR department is extremely unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Review your senior management and allow personnel to talk freely and raise their concerns.

    Pros

Good people, good company overall. If you are self-motivated you can do absolutely anything.

    Cons

Too much politics at times in the London office. No structure in terms of who does what and not enough training given. Constant fear when guys from US were about to arrive.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you hire a good MD that will motivate people and will make them want to stay.

    Pros

Agile env with scrum. Young and fun to work and play with people. Loved it

    Cons

The scrum implementation was a bit broken, but management was willing on improving things. Considering that it was over 6y ago, it should have been fixed by now.

    Advice to Management

    improve scrum

Company and leaders are always trying to improve; not a "blame" culture; encourages good ideas; fantastic benefits and perks

    Cons

culture can be uneven across different offices; need more senior leaders, especially in offices outside of Pasadena

    Advice to Management

Hire more senior leaders; don't overload people; make sure everyone is pulling their weight

    Pros

    People: they're fantastic and laid-back.
    Schedule: flexible!
Benefits: catered lunches, unlimited PTO, great healthcare.

    Cons

HQ located in Pasadena. Would love if the office was located in a more centralized city to their employees (Downtown LA, Santa Monica, etc.).

    Pros

Great equipment, delicious free lunches, interesting and difficult work. Very satisfying place to spend all day every day.

    Cons

Has had a hard time finding the right leadership on the engineering side of the business.

    Advice to Management

Mostly, I would tell them to stay the course, they have a jewel of a company here. But, be sure to have a both a great working AND personal relationship with the tech leadership, or it probably isn't going to progress well.
