Pros

The Original SuddenLink was an awesome startup like environment. They ran lean, which means the folks who worked at SuddenLink long term were very talented, because in a lean organization you can tell if someone was sandbagging. All of this means that you can focus on doing your job well, and others did well theirs to make this a well oiled machine. An "A-Team"

Cons

Altice (France) came in and bought SuddenLink, and Cablevision to Create AlticeUSA. Many layoffs later, Cablevision has taken over most of the Management, and kept their antiquated Management Processes and Slow Velocity. Things get worse when all of the billing IT is outsourced to Amdocs who offshores as much of the work as possible. Ahhh, we now see the Master Plan.... You get the picture, and now I realize why Cablevision's Velocity is Soooo Sloooow......

Pros

Good pay and health benefits, even for entry level personals. Deeply discounted TV/Internet service. That's it.

Cons

Would you like a job that tearing people down, disparaging others, and discrimination is considered peak humor? And if you question it, you are branded "too sensitive" and you "shouldn't take things too seriously?" Would you like to work where you are expected to become a perfect cold sales person and have perfect knowledge of their ALL their product within months of hire? And then have a supervisor say that it's your fault for not knowing something? Would you like to be some place where upper management will feel the need to assert their dominance over you or shut you up if they disagree with you or feel offended by something you said? What about dealing with customers who say you/optimum sucks or worse at least 3-4 times a day? Or dealing with customers who were given incorrect information multiple times a day? Or even dealing with the fallout of disrespectful technicians who talks badly about the product, leaves in the middle of set ups or repairs, or never even bothers to show up to install equipment? What about training that doesn't even fill you in about the variety of products this company offers or how the system works? How about feeling sick to your stomach before each shift and feeling an anxiety attack coming every Sunday night? Than I've got a job for you!

Pros

Great insurance, PTO, decent pay, free cable.

Cons

Since Altice took over they have eliminated positions company wide, leaving people unemployed. The changes being made are ridiculous and uncomfortable for the employees. They also make it impossible to give customers discounts on their already high cable bills, so they are paying full price when their packages fall off. Suddenlink made a big mistake selling to Altice.
