Pros
Good site facilities, canteen is excellent, working conditions are clean and safety is good. 50% of the Production managers / Zone leaders are good at what they do, the other 50% are woeful cardboard cut outs. The Technical department are hard working and are the “Safe to eat cheese police”. The Engineering department are doing their best considering the deluge of work requests and are blamed for everything that goes wrong. The Ornua family days are great and the HR department are always trying to engage the staff in being part of the company family. Pay is very good if you in a senior position, pension is good and time off is fair - pay is ok for line workers. The Ornua behaviours / company values are genuine and fair.
Cons
All aspects of the business are managed on hear say and rumour - the top men ! have their spy’s and manage on a feed informed lies rather than the truth. Senior management is run like an old boys club - lots of under the carpet bullying behaviour and they obviously believe they are above the Ornua behaviours. The recent terror of a boss just got promoted, that’s says it all.
