Pros
There are actual people that care about what they do and excited by the product. It’s a great learning opportunity if you’re allowed to have it.
Cons
The CS department is ran by bullies, there is no other way to say it. You’re incredibly beat down and gaslighted by the mean girl clique in charge, it’s very much an us against them mentality so much so that you can see it blatantly at every company event. You question your sanity and your competence at doing your job frequently. You are constantly micromanaged by management with no experience, no empathy and whose favorite way of managing is to ridicule every week at every 1:1, it’s frankly impossible to do well and thrive there.
