Pros

supportive teams and nice people

Cons

-the president preaches a “small business” environment but he could care less about the employees that make up that business. -hours are long, repetitive, and unfulfilling -no work life balance to speak of -growth opportunities are little to no where throughout each team -professional growth non-existent -PTO is pathetic -0 sick days -men make up 100% of management -6 holidays -Christmas Eve? Veterans Day? MLK Day? Who cares about your family or the people who lost their lives fighting for our rights and freedoms when there’s POS systems to be sold! -Paternity leave is 5 days. Women take 6-8 weeks to recover from childbirth. -I would talk about maternity leave but considering there are approximately 4 female employees does it even matter?

As president of the company, I'll do my best to act on this feedback and to try and improve as a manager. Our PTO and vacation policies are clearly stated to each newly hired employee. We offer 10 PTO days for junior employees and 15 PTO days for managers and all employees after two years. We also offer six paid holidays for all employees. Because our customers are retail stores, they especially need our support around many major holidays as these periods are the busiest of the year for our customers. Despite the implications of the review, we do offer six weeks of maternity leave as well. Approximately 25% of our workforce is female. Unfortunately, this low percent is in line with companies in the tech industry. That being said, we'll work better on attracting and retaining female employees in all departments.

Pros

Opportunity to learn and get your foot in the door to the industry.

Cons

Horrible lines of communication, disorganized, reactive environment to customer issues. Virtually zero room to grow due to nepotism. Employee benefits are below industry standards. The company acquires companies and does not match the benefits that the company that they acquired had. They have the money to acquire but not to maintain the benefits that you had. The red tape to make a decision is tremendous. Approval for a 10 dollar purchase is required. Most of management is experienced, however there is some that is not and that adds to the issues.

We'll work better on streamlining operations and improving communication. We acquired three companies in 2022, and each one had a different benefits package. We do our best to merge plans, and in one instance in 2022, we gave every acquired employee a salary increase to offset the additional cost of the new plan. Our employee benefits plan is very competitive and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as a 401(k) program. While some of the businesses we acquire are family-owned companies, no members of the POS Nation leadership team are related. Advancement is strictly governed by merit.

Pros

- Growing company with a lot of growth opportunities popping up - Everyone is motivated and pushing for the same goal - There are lots of interesting problems which need creative solutions

Cons

- POS Nation doesn't have the resources of a large company yet. (e.g. 401k match)
