Pros

The kids are so much fun. Hours end at 4. No extended times.

Cons

The business practices and therapy practices are unethical. The programs are not individualized for the kids. The higher ups are petty and are rude to people that are leaving and purposefully cut their hours despite them having a guaranteed number of hours. There are rarely new toys, most toys are broken and not replaced, but are still there for the kids to use. They supervise kids based on insurance needs. They allowed the water to be shut off for 2 days without repair or telling parents, so there was 1 working toilet for 16 kids that are potty training. They hire and don't properly train inexperienced BCBAs who would rather assert their dominance than do what is best for the kids. They view the kids as dollar signs rather than little people, meaning that they would do anything to have kids come in and keep them there for the day even if they should have stayed or should go home. They don't communicate to parents or therapists about schedule changes. They show favoritism to certain parents and therapists. Nepotism is alive and well there. There is no support at all for therapists, but the lead BCBA preaches self care. Most people are overworked and burnt out. The owner has no experience in ABA, which reflects the company's practices. There is no consistency between each clinic. Also, there are 30 minute lunches, but you don't actually get the full 30 minutes. There is no learning opportunities or potential for growth for staff unless you personally know the owner outside of work. They encourage you and reward you for not asking for help because they view it as "complaining" and "weakness". Almost all of the office staff are the owner's best friends. People who have left have not gotten their PTO paid out due to them cutting their hours, therefore not fully working their 2 weeks. They do not care about work-life balance. There is no opportunity for wage increases unless you get promoted, but good luck unless you're a favorite.
