Pros

There are NO pros at all.

Cons

BEWARE!!! Any positive reviews were written at the direction of the CEO and HR Department, who asked employees they liked to counterbalance the negative reviews. The CEO is manic, unprofessional and you never know what you are walking into on any given day. He is very inappropriate, forgets what he has told you to do, and then yells at you for following his direction. He will insist that he never had a conversation with you or gave you the direction in the first place especially when he has made a bad decision or gave you poor advice. You will get blamed for his mistakes and poor judgment. He throws temper tantrums when he does not get his own way and likes to surround himself with very junior and incompetent people. No one with any solid skills or respect for themselves stays with the Company and the turnover is outrageous.

Dear Perfumer, We are sorry to see you have a negative opinion of the business. It is our goal to be a Great Place to Work and according to the last engagement survey that took place earlier this month, 88% of our team members feel engaged and motivated to deliver their best. However, we are aware this might not always be the case for everyone and this is why Lance, the leadership and the HR team have an open-door policy so that anyone can share their feedback directly. Our Team is the heart of our business and we are proud to have a collective of bright and passionate individuals who move our beautiful brands forward every day. We are bold in our thinking and fearless in the approach we take to achieving our ambitious goals. As a growing business we need to continually evolve and adapt to meet our customers’ and team members’ needs. And yes, we are not afraid to say that sometimes we make mistakes and we learn from them. We want everyone to feel empowered and accountable in their role so we hope there is something we can do for you. We invite you to reach out to your manager or nearest HR person to find ways to improve your situation. Best wishes, The Perfumers 1870 Talent Team

Pros

Heritage of the brand, Fragrances

Cons

CEO & Senior management abuse power and treat professionals unfairly and without respect Disorganisation and chaos among departments Concealed senior management strategies and unclear business objectives Lack of integrity, blaming junior team members for senior management's mistakes, senseless spending and professional inadequacy The talent review process is unfair and most of the scores and comments are made up Dishonest office culture, HR doesn't support employees and promotes unprofessional behaviours Employees turnover is insanely high - talented and successful individuals fleet the company within a year No understanding of brand development and creative, the management relies on copying rather that using internal talent and originality Egos and lifestyle maintenance prevale on company values and talent nurturing

Pros

Some good people which left as soon as they figure it out... used to be a beautiful brand, heritage of the brands was great until the new CEO came in.

Cons

As per below comments, you can understand that this is an evil place which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. They take everything they can from you, your ideas, your hard work and give you no credit for it. they push you to leave as soon as they got what they wanted. Such a shame for the brands!
