    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Pirelli full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Flexibility in managing your customers and schedule

    Cons

Large amount of dissatisfaction within the company. Unrealistic quotas and targets - dramatically reduced or eliminated all sales compensation Management and Finance taking extreme measures to reduce costs and resources once used to help leverage sales and promote the brand. Upper management unwilling to invest into the brand in order to advertise and market to the U.S. consumer effectively.

    Advice to Management

Literally do the opposite of everything you're currently doing. How do you expect to retain and attract quality talent? No wonder there has been so much turnover in the past 1-2 years. DON'T eliminate resources needed to support customers and leverage sales. DON'T establish unrealistic and unattainable sales quotas that dramatically reduce-or eliminate your sales team's compensation. These are the people you... depend on to sell your brand. DO provide a defined career path and opportunities for advancement. DO grow and invest via hiring additional personnel needed in several departments within the company. DO come to terms with the need for massive brand awareness growth for Pirelli in the U.S. The brand is viewed as niche, expensive, only for extremely high end vehicles, and not applicable to the "average everyday consumer."

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Pirelli full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Salary was paid on time Good to have on your CV and enter the tyres market, however there are other more human companies to do so.

    Cons

Management style was based on threats, irony and direct insults Way too much politics, employees are concentrating in protecting themsleves rather than doing their actual job No support and no teamwork whatsoever, you may be held responsible for someone elses mistake if you dont know how to protect yourself. Staff turnover is unreal, almost everyone wants to leave Stress levels are unreal No personal life.... Emails asking for reports may be received even at midnight and you get grief (again threats and insults) for not reading them and replying immediatelly Management often contradicts themselves and you re responsible for it No clear misiion, vision, orientation of the company You succeed because management is great, you fail because you re an idiot. Clents are disrespected Very bad reputation in the market and no impractical willingness to alter it Account managers deal with daily mistakes in orders, deliveries, invoicing and have no support ar willingess for correction from the company Kept selling faulty products ignoring the grief of the market Company does not take into account end user feedback unless it is positive

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees and your clients because what happens in the company is easily reflected in the market.
