Pros

Lunch in office, nice people and feel to the organisation, you're doing something net positive, the organisation really looks after their staff, can play with fun new tech, ie. people are open to new tech.

Cons

Lots of politics in tech and frustrations around how projects are prioritised and decided.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I’m glad to hear you had a positive experience working with us and enjoyed the culture at Postcode Lottery. It’s something we work hard on and we take pride in being a great place to work. We put a lot of effort into balancing our project priorities and try hard to strike the balance between delivering value for the business to support our goals in Britain, while also collaborating with our international colleagues to advance the wider Postcode Lottery Group strategy. This isn’t always easy, but we’re increasingly seeing the positive impact of the decisions we make and are optimistic about continuing that progress. Sarah Thomson, Head of Tech UK

Pros

Work was interesting with dedicated innovation and learning time to improve your skill set. Well compensated, good bonus scheme and 20 paid sick days a year Good holiday entitlement (35 days) Culture

Cons

The sick policy can be a bit silly at times but for the most part its fine There isn't much room for advancement in the Data Services department, at least not for developers with only 1 or 2 senior positions coming up a year and 40 developers in the department

Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your experience of your time as part of the People's Postcode Lottery team. We continue to place a huge amount of value on innovation and learning in all our technical roles and believe in upskilling our team members, and I'm pleased these learning opportunities were of value to you and your career. We are currently developing a progression framework for the development team so that our software developers can see how they could prepare for a senior, lead, or principal role, enabling them to be ready to apply as and when vacancies arise. In addition to this, there is also scope for team members to apply for international opportunities with our sister lotteries. Sarah Thomson, joint head of data services
