Pros

The actual work it's self is great. Fast paced with a lot of different duties, so it never gets boring.

Cons

You are literally working for a cult. If you don't conform to what they want you to be, you won't make it. If you have a voice, you won't make it. If you have an opinion, you won't make it. The management is an absolute joke and does nothing but gossip in meetings that are hours long. They don't appreciate hard or punctual workers.

I'm glad to hear that you did enjoy the work that you did here at Practice Velocity. One of the definitions of cult is "a situation in which people admire and care about something or someone very much or too much". In that sense, I might agree. The root word of cult is culture. Our culture is unique, and not for everyone. I'm sorry to hear that it wasn't a fit for you.

Pros

Some colleagues are genuinely talented and hard working. Wondering who they are? Look for the ones who are at their desks, getting the job done, while others are dancing. The actual work is satisfying.

Cons

Don’t be fooled by its attempt to be Google. The bright colors, coffee bar and “fun culture” can’t disguise what is going on. When the company overhauled its image, those who did not fit this new culture were fired -- even if they work hard and do the job above and beyond expectations. Those who did not dance or conform were deemed "negative" and eventually fired. Straight up fired. I am not one of those people. I saw what was happening to talented colleagues around me and I left on my own accord. I could not support a company that would disrespect hard-working individuals in this manner. I don't understand how any self-respecting person could stay at this company with such poor management and general unconcern for real people who are escorted out with no true understanding of what happened. What a despicable way to treat people that this company claims they care about so much.

Our culture and core values are unique and we do expect our team members to embrace them - those that don't won't be happy here. Your comments regarding working with under-performing individuals and utilizing a warning system are something we've improved at and will continue to work to improve.
