Pros

Can’t actually think of any

Cons

Poor management from CEO to Controllers. They are all in for themselves, making it a dog eat dog world causing a huge finger pointing blame culture. Bonus has not been hit for the past 6 years. No work life balance. They say they have flexibility, but in reality it’s moving from 8:45-5pm to 8:30-4:30pm...not really flexibility. Disciplinaries if off sick for 3 occasions in one year. Very male dominated, stuffy, sexist business. Maybe 3 woman in senior positions. No care for health & well-being let alone mental well being or LGBT. Promotions are given to those with a face that fits rather than who deserves the role. They dislike anyone with an option. Way too much formality. Slow internal processes which have a huge impact when dealing with external parties. Meetings for meetings, believe this is due to them proving a point about having to be in the office Monday to Friday. No development plans. It’s all about standard KPIs. No autonomy on your P&L. Constant internal negotiations for every penny. No internal strategy from the business units to understand the goals and ambitions. It’s for the account teams to drive their own agenda with very little guidance.

Pros

None every single day is a slog, existing in a terrible office environment, where people feel small and in fear of expressing themselves; with weak failing leadership, who are never accountable for failing the organisation. They haven’t hit a target in 6 years and blame their staff for that. They pay well because they have to, it’s the only reason most people stay, they are trapped.

Cons

Too many to mention. Lying immature management who go through the motions. Recent training has never been followed up and so the same negative behaviours continue. The directors live in fear and so do the general managers. As a result most of those below that level suffer. Ageist, homophobic and sexist environment; old fashioned management practices. Went 4 years without even a one to one. Work fir them at your own risk, there are far more rewarding and inspirational organisations that value their staff. Every department works in silos and spends most of its time protecting its own back at the expense of the customer. Customer service department is the worst outside of sales and certainly does not work free a service to anyone other than its own management, who are overly defensive and aggressive. And openly lie to their internal and external customers. All of their best people leave and do much better.
