Amazing Culture and Team. Questionable Product Decisions.

Pros

Definitely the best company I've worked for in terms of culture. They treat their team incredibly well, allow for proper work/life balance, create a great working environment, and more and have built a really fantastic team for those reasons. The CEO is an absolute gem of a person and is incredibly down to earth, thoughtful, and caring. I couldn't say anything bad about him at all. Also, they are great about growth opportunities and hiring young, hungry individuals with a passion to grow and develop and have proven to promote and train up their employees.

Cons

Like any startup, they've had to make some pivots and changes over the years, that comes with the territory. Sometimes this shakes things up a bit and can impact your day-to-day, just the nature of startups. They're in a super competitive space, but there's plenty of business to go around and they have a niche carved out that they are laser-focused on. I think some decisions could have been made with a bit more input and consideration from other team leads rather than giving more weight to others, but it is what it is. Sometimes they learn from their mistakes and make a chance, which I respect. Other times, they stick to their guns and go. Either way, it's a part of a young and growing company and it's all a learning experience.

Pros

Great culture and work life, there is a balance where you work hard and also have time to hang out with coworkers and there are team outings. Everyone at Privy has the same goal in terms of growing the company which is amazing. You also are not micro managed here and are encouraged to work on projects and grow your skills.

Cons

I took a pay cut when starting here, and hope in the future, the compensation will increase. But the other benefits are amazing!

Pros

Small team atmosphere allows a lot of hands on work that will let you see your impact on the company. CEO and management are all very accessible and are open to feedback and new ideas. Everyone treats you with the utmost respect for your skills and I feel like my thoughts and ideas are value here. Also, the work life balance was a huge selling point for me, can't beat unlimited vacation time.

Cons

Quickly outgrowing office space. Although there are plans to move in the next 5 months to a bigger and better space, there will be long period of over crowdedness.
