Exciting science, great colleagues

Pros

The scientific work undertaken here is stimulating and fulfilling, and I enjoy my job. In my role, I interact with other employees in all departments and I find everyone to be helpful, efficient and fun. We work set hours (8 h per day with 1 h for lunch) and I never have to take work home with me, so work-life balance is good.

Cons

If you are used to WFH or hybrid working, then the set hours of working on site might take some getting used to.

Pros

Innovative company, working on new technologies that I think will make a difference. Provides extensive training in lab procedures. Nice colleagues, good social life and working environment.

Cons

It’s a busy work schedule, but I have really enjoyed working here since I started, so nothing negative to report.

Pros

The work is very interesting scientifically and has taught me a wide range of hands-on lab skills quickly. My manager is very supportive and the atmosphere in the team is very good. The bonus scheme is also higher than in other companies. Our workplace at the Oxford Science Park has a wide range of facilities such as cafeteria, parkland and nice common areas – definitely not just another business park. I have also seen how other Graduate Scientists were promoted to managerial level with significant responsibility in a relatively short time.

Cons

Not many. It’s been a really good start in industry for me after graduating, working for a company that is commercially successful and that works with many leading research groups around the world as customers.
