Pros

There was quite a bit to learn which was definitely a plus. I always enjoyed learning something new. Some of the employees were nice and you could have small talk over break with coffee. It did not seem to matter if you were a shop floor employee or office employee - it seemed like for the most part, everyone got along. Great place if you are a politically driven extreme, extreme conservative party member. If you are Liberal or Democrat, you will not like working at PUI. The pay was excellent, well above what I believed to be the standard of living.

Cons

You were told one thing during interviewing, but when you were hired, you quickly found that what you were told, was just a flat out lie. For example, you were told that you were not micro-managed, when you actually were being micro managed. If you enjoy MM, this is good for you (but I did not enjoy it). A certain person in the company became extremely belligerent to me and to other employees he managed. This same manager would act extremely hostile towards you in a verbal and physical manner and has continued to do so to his peers. You were asked to do several tasks and have weekly meetings which wasn't so much of a bad thing - but the fact that you had nothing new to report for several weeks made this a silly waste of time. Be careful of who you trust! If you follow the steps someone else provide you with, including the manager present while you are performing such a task, and the task backfires - the blame will fall on your shoulders. Even if you did exactly what the manager and colleague asked you to do in the first place. In other words, you were made to feel extremely stupid and verbally belittled for something you were asked to do even with the manager present during said task. If you enjoy a manager who changes his mind every day or several times a day and if you enjoy chaos with confusing or no direction what so ever - this might be for you (but was not my cup of tea).

Hostile and Untruthful

Pros

Many very good and talented employees. State of the art facility

Cons

Hostile leadership and management. Cameras and listening devices in all common areas. Ownership/leadership keenly interested in your personal life. The turnover rate is well above 40% annually. I worked there for numerous years. It is a very sick and unhealthy place to work. Avoid senior management. Especially the COO (think, Napoleon Complex) and the CFO (In the closet - Hates Men) Proceed with caution.

We as a company take the safety of our employees very seriously. We have cameras around and outside the facility for the safety of the employees and their property. We do not utilize listening devices. Our turnover rate runs in the low teens and in many cases it is employees leaving our company for promotion in another business. While we wish to retain our talented employees, we understand that some will leave since we don't have the ability to promote all of our employees. We don't like to see them leave, but we do wish them well and see it as a positive sign that our employees can move on to higher positions in other industries and with other companies.

Pros

Impressive manufacturing facility considering the small size of the company. Does support outside activities such as company sports teams and charity events.

Cons

Ownership is disconnected and out of touch. Very high turnover rate (30%+); In my short time there I have seen 5 people fired for no particular reason and 4 people quit.
