Pros

Get to work with some lovely people

Cons

If you’re reading these reviews because you‘re considering working here take a hard pass. The CCO is a narcissistic bully and the founders are cut throat and very disillusioned about the product they have created. They cannot admit that the business model isn’t working and resort to placing the blame at everyone else’s door. I have never seen a company operate in this way, the way they treat their employees is shameful. The main issue is the founders have little to no experience running a business and no experience within the industry. They are well known for hiring people to make use of their contacts only to get rid of them in an instant when they are deemed no longer worthy. The continuous cycle of hiring and firing has created a fearful working environment with everyone praying they won’t be next. Huge issues with scheduling captures and lack of availability means they struggle to meet demand yet nothing seems to be done about this. Perhaps because the CCO blindly refuses to accept this as a valid reason as to why order numbers are low. The service is painfully bad with agents having to wait a week for a Property capture or risk having their capture cancelled at the very last minute. Working for this company became utterly embarrassing, tasked daily with having to apologise for cancelling captures due to various issues. Spec are lost, with no commercial awareness within the sector and no idea on how to scale the business, having hired four different sales directors within two years is a classic example of how clueless they are.

Pros

Meet some great people and get to work on some interesting projects in some nice locations

Cons

Management are extremely unprofessional and disorganised, they exploit the surveyors and don’t appreciate them in the slightest. Some people have been doing the same job for 3.5 years, coming up to 4 and have not been given a significant pay rise let alone opportunities for progression. Be aware, THERE IS NOT PROGRESSION OR GROWTH AT THIS COMPANY regardless of what they may tell you at the interview. They have the tendency to sack staff on the spot when they feel like it and even sacked a whole department 2 weeks before Christmas because they decided to outsource them to a cheaper company in South Africa. The founders are narcissists and are extremely evil, they are manipulative and will do what they want when they want with no care about their employees. There was a time that pupil was an incredible place to work but unfortunately greed and bad management has a screwed this company’s work culture and atmosphere in the office. Pupil had the opportunity to give opportunities to those who gave so much to the company because they believed it in, but instead they chose to lose the people who helped get them to where they are today.

I’m sorry to hear that you have such a negative perception of your time with us, our DS team are important to us, so it’s disappointing you didn’t feel this way. I agree that progression and growth for our DS’s has been somewhat limited because of the nature of the role, however, I’m really pleased to confirm that we’re currently working on some solutions to this - we strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to develop and grow. Some of the points you raise are inappropriate for me to comment on, however, I will say that any changes we do make are driven by business necessity, and subject to due process. Unfortunately, I can’t agree with your perception of our founders and management, or your perception of our culture. I’m not sure when you left the business, but I hope you’ve found a role and a company that’s a better fit for you. Best Wishes, Chloe

Pros

Worked alongside some very friendly people.

Cons

Toxic culture created by management and founders that do not care about staff with an office environment that is soulless and depressing at best. Its being covered up by their introduction of a "culture club" that has done absolutely nothing apart from provide an excuse for management to use whilst the situation continues to get worse. People disappear and are never talked about, integral members that have been with the company for years are being forced out they are more than happy to fire whole departments just before christmas. An expectation to always pitch in and work overtime with no progression or salary reviews for most staff whilst being overworked, underpaid and undervalued as people. A company based on false promises that is running itself into the ground.
