Pros

The publicists employed here, both current and past, are all exceptionally talented and great at their jobs.

Cons

Unfortunately the most recent positive reviews are fake. This company does not have a Director of Web Management or Project Manager. This is not a surprise, as fake reviews and dishonesty are the norm here. The employees are phenomenal but the owners of the company care about 1 thing: money. Five or Six-person teams with 25-30 clients is not industry standard. PTE signs every small business/indie brand they can, whether it’s relevant to the agency or not. Small businesses, run away from this scam of a company. Where does the money of 50-60 clients go? Surely not into the run-down office building or less than standard salaries. Dont worry — the owners live comfortably. The amount of turnover is astounding. There are no warnings or teachable moments here — you just get fired when they’re tired of you or if enough clients drop. Recent college grads, don’t be fooled by the convenient location or prospect of working with beauty. You can do it elsewhere. This is a failing business and you don’t want to be aboard when the ship sinks. Also, there is no California or New York office. Why does it say that on all PTE sites/socials? More dishonesty.

Dear future PTE team member, Nice to meet you! We are excited that you are considering working with us! If you’re on Glassdoor, surely you’re seeking social proof and feedback from former employees. What we’ll tell you is that Glassdoor is inherently a platform for emotionally charged, disgruntled employees to bash their former employer without a fact-checking or verification process. Furthermore, there is no accountability associated with each post or the opportunity for an equitable response from the employer addressing inaccuracies, embellishments or complete falsehoods of the content posted. While we look at the reviews, it’s clear that much of what is written can be debunked with minimal effort. We value the opinions of every employee, past and present, however would expect a level of professionalism and maturity that is not offered with an anonymous, one sided post. What is never discussed on Glassdoor is the actual reason the former staffer was fired. Lack of job performance, attitude and/or ability should not be rational to accost and crucify a supervisor or employer. Where is the accountability and who is to blame? How can you make an informed career decision based on an opinion without having the entire story? Did you know that there is evidence that supports that if 5 positive reviews and 5 negative reviews are submitted to Glassdoor, the platform will only posts 1 positive review while posting all 5 negative posts? Glassdoor is a business that is incentivized to post bad reviews to sell a solution to the badly-reviewed employers. Did you know that if an employer provides evidence to address the false statements in a review, Glassdoor will not take action to revise the post? So is Glassdoor really a credible reflection of a company or is it a cesspool for a collection of one sided opinions, that ignores factual evidence, coming from employees that lack integrity and look to blame someone else for their failures? If you are considering joining PTE, and Glassdoor reviews are weighing on you, we encourage you to ask us to address each and every post. We’ll be happy to put you at ease being completely transparent and debunk any false assumptions or opinions. PTE is an agency with great reputation and a rich history of success. We are a strong 18 year old company that prides itself on promoting from within, providing career growth, teaching and strengthening your skill sets and encouraging creativity and ample opportunities to manage some of the most promising brands in the market. We look forward to having a discussion like professionals especially if you feel influenced by the unverified voices on a faulty and broken platform.

PTE PR - The Laughing Stock of Agencies

Pros

Only pro is the work life balance and lunch break

Cons

I can't even write a cons list because, by the time I finish, I’ll be dead. I don't even know where to begin. First, all the positive reviews are fake, no one calls the company PTE but the people who work here lol. The company is a hot mess dumpster fire. Pay is completely deplorable. The owner and CEO (married couple) don't have a clue on how to run a business, i actually don't think either of them has prior PR experience but decided to open an agency and con a bunch of small businesses into their pyramid scheme company. The company has 12 people at MAX and neither of them could be bothered to reach out to any of their employees, not even a welcome to the team email absolutely nothing!!!!!!! Never heard of an agency where only one person is dedicated to the account and no one else. Editors laugh at them and abuse them for samples since they will send them to anyone with a pulse and they are blacklisted from most top-tier publications. The company had a wonderful group of talented young women who were motivated and hard-working and all got along well. But being that the CEO and President are only worried about living their lavish lifestyle, they will just lay people off left and right, with no care in the world. On to the next! 17 years of being an agency and you only have 10 employees how embarrassing. I would run run run away as fast as you can from this company. Upper management is a joke and they are a complete disaster from top to bottom. You wake up every day wondering if you are going to be employed.

Pros

The only pro to this job is that its mainly remote. All positive reviews are fake!!!

Cons

If you want to work for a real PR agency this is not it. The ceo and upper management do not care about you and won't take the time to get to know you AND THAT'S NOT EVEN THE WORST PART. The director micromanages like nothing you've ever seen before and you will be watched. The agency is blacklisted by most editors, they will report your pitches as spam thats how much you'll be required to pitch and then when your clients dont do good you will be let go. Editors know this agency as having bad clients and spammy emails. All around a terrible agency to work for. You will work for pennies trust me and every other bad review on here.
