Supportive Culture with Flexible Working, but Limited Career Progression
Pros
The Singapore team was one of the best parts of working at Quandoo. Everyone was supportive, collaborative, and always willing to help each other. The hybrid working arrangement (2 days in the office, 3 days from home) offered a great work-life balance, and managers were understanding and flexible when it came to working hours, provided work was completed. We also enjoyed a 4-day work week every fortnight, which was a fantastic employee benefit and much appreciated.
Cons
While APAC had a strong local team, strategic decisions were largely driven by HQ in Berlin and the European offices. As a result, APAC employees could sometimes feel overlooked, with regional perspectives not always being considered in company-wide decisions. Compensation was below market rates for similar roles, with limited opportunities for salary adjustments. There was no 13th-month bonus or annual salary increment structure, which made long-term progression less attractive.
