Thank you for sharing your feedback; however, it appears there may be a misunderstanding as we do not currently have a team or a Finance Manager based in Scotland. We encourage you to verify the company name to ensure your feedback reaches the intended team.

Pros

Being in the office there was a good culture, young company so it was easy to make friends and meet other young professionals.

Cons

Quorum promises a lot from very early on. Throughout the interview process they over promise the experience and success of their organization and most importantly they over promise what you as an employee will make in the role, the training you will receive and the responsibilities you have will be misinterpreted. The leadership team is inexperienced and tends to ignore employee's cry for help, leaving employees feeling helpless or uncomfortable in the situations they have been put in by the leadership team. The CEO, Alex Wirth, tends to be the biggest issue at this organization. He is very self-serving and it shows in how he interacts with his team. Overall I would highly suggest not joining this organization. Quorum is an average product in a saturated market with so many other competitors that are at least willing to pay a living wage to their employees. Quorum leans on being a “boot-strapped start-up” and that is why you get paid below market but that’s just not the case anymore and it is why they continue to lose top talent every day.

Pros

There are some incredibly skilled and knowledgeable people I had the opportunity to work with.

Cons

•Toxic culture •Expect unmanageable workloads •Managers have no experience and can’t provide any advice when you ask for help •You will feel inadequate and gaslit when standing up for yourself, asking for help, or asking a question •Do not ask any questions…you will be destroyed and they will try and make you quit and try to fire you •Leadership consistently lies to the company, and doesn’t do it well •CONSTANTLY use buzzwords…and when you ask what it means, they have no idea •Schedule 20 internal calls a week to talk about nothing •Use slack to make all important announcements…if you missed it on 1 of the 1000 channels they have, you will be punished •Managers have their team do all projects and tasks for them and then take credit for them •Leadership and HR know people who have manager titles should not have them and do nothing about it •People are afraid to say anything about anything in fear of repercussions •Expectations and policies drastically differ from the management level to their teams •Offers no training or enablement •No career growth •Will only get a promotion if you suck up •Read the fine print you can only get one promotion within a certain amount of time •Processes and procedures change daily •Would recommend investing in a therapist
