Lacks direction and talent is underused.
Pros
The people are generally great, and make an effort so its a fairly nice place to work. There is also some talented people there to learn from, however ideas are not really listened to/heard and the senior management act more as figureheads rather than leaders.
Cons
The company seems to lack direction. With fierce competition in the space R1 are in a difficult position as they could be left behind. The place is lucky they have hired some fantastic people otherwise it wouldn't be half as successful as the senior management aren't actively involved with the teams on the ground. There mid level management have some great ideas but they have to get a yes from the senior team which often results in no response or slow roll out. There is little career progression or training offered.
