Cons

Managers deflate appraisals to urge subordinates to leave, to build a record of poor performance, or to teach them a lesson. There is no egalitarian working environment. Moreover, strong presence of status and power difference decreases collaboration and segregates teams, which magnifies disparities existing between them. Managers are fully biased and manipulative and they consciously distort ratings to pursue own interest. Most of them are biased and suffer from “similar to me error”- They favor those mirroring their real own character-like - forgive poor-performers, bullies’ as it matches with their managerial strategy. There is a 1-way communication, evasion through irrationality approach with an attack that skirts the target, where managers fail to be accountable. Instead of applause for success, envious critics made in public offending employees’ origin. Zero managerial competencies with interpersonal skills based on political, discriminating, unemotional and manipulative decisions without guilt or shame Diversity is a propaganda to attract on the outside. In fact, a highly politically involved based on “one hand washes the other”. Their 360 degrees feedback only exist based on 1–2-person feedback and even if, only downward communication is the style (Management  employees) as employees have no “voice”. Philip is a great person to talk to, and he can be easily manipulated

Pros

Job can be fulfilling for someone who is passionate with ESG and/or sustainability. I really liked how this became my first job because I learned with regare to work and how to deal with people professionally.

Cons

Opportunities for development and growth are sometimes taken as an attack by insecure upper management and one-on-ones are not really a safe space to discuss about promotion and salary. My career trajectory within the company was not laid out and was even blamed for switching teams for wanting to learn new things. There was even no urgency to discuss the steps needed to be taken so that you'll grow into a new role. Be careful of what you say during one-on-ones as these may be taken out of context and use something against you when already disposable. There is no delineation of tasks between a junior and senior member as upper management see us as "equal" members regardless of level.

Pros

Great camaraderie: One of the highlights of my tenure at RepRisk was the opportunity to build strong friendships with my colleagues. The workplace culture promotes teamwork, and I truly appreciated the bonds I formed during my time there. Learning Opportunities: The work environment at RepRisk is intellectually stimulating, providing ample opportunities for professional growth. I acquired valuable skills and knowledge that have been beneficial for my career.

Cons

1. Lack of Mentorship: Unfortunately, the company falls short in providing adequate mentorship. While there are opportunities to learn, a more structured mentorship program could have enhanced my professional development. 2. A significant drawback was the apparent reluctance of my manager to engage in discussions related to promotions. Despite consistent efforts and achievements, conversations about career advancement were consistently avoided, leaving me with a sense of stagnation. 3. The frequent organizational restructuring created an atmosphere of uncertainty and instability. It made it challenging to establish a sense of continuity and predictability in the workplace. 4. Compensation is an area that requires attention at RepRisk. The salary offered is not commensurate with industry standards, making it challenging to fully appreciate the contributions of dedicated employees. 5. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by instances of gaslighting. This created a toxic atmosphere, eroding trust and making it difficult to communicate effectively. The lack of accountability for such behavior was disappointing.
