Great concept, but leadership and execution are major issues

Pros

Revive is built around a compelling idea—presale renovations to help sellers maximize home value. The model is innovative, and you get the chance to work with some genuinely great people who care about homeowners and want to make an impact. If it weren’t for the COO, this company would likely have gone under. He’s the operational backbone and brings much-needed structure and foresight.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company suffers from major strategic inconsistency. The CEO lacks experience, empathy, and often seems more concerned with appearances than substance. Promised OTEs are inflated, and in reality, most roles are paid below market. KPIs shift constantly with little transparency. There are ongoing cash flow issues, and they missed their opportunity to raise capital. Talent evaluation is inconsistent, with many key hires lacking the experience required. Project execution is a persistent challenge—estimates are often overpriced, approvals are unpredictable, and even the sales team has little faith in what will actually get greenlit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Revive. While it’s disappointing to hear that your time with us ended on a negative note, I genuinely appreciate the feedback. Revive was built around a bold mission—to help homeowners unlock the full value of their homes. That kind of ambition comes with real challenges. We’ve had to navigate rapid growth, shifting market conditions, and the growing pains of building something new. Not everything has gone perfectly, and like any founder, I’ve had to learn a lot along the way. One of the things I’m most proud of is the team we’ve built. I’m grateful for the leaders and teammates who’ve stepped up to shape the company’s direction and bring structure to our vision, including our COO, who you mentioned. We wouldn’t be where we are without them. I understand that not all roles or environments are the right fit for everyone. We hold high standards and move fast, and sometimes that leads to tough decisions around performance and alignment. Those decisions are never personal, but I recognize they can feel that way. To anyone considering joining Revive, I’ll be the first to say this isn’t the easiest place to work—but if you care deeply about doing right by homeowners, want to be part of something innovative, and are open to learning fast and growing with us, there’s an incredible opportunity here. — Michael Alladawi, CEO

Pros

You will do many things beyond your actual responsibilities, this can be good exposure... up to a point

Cons

Quota attainment is very low despite claims of a high OTE, constantly shifting KPI's so you don't know what you'll actually get paid, company does not promote from within nor develop its talent. Little to no loyalty to their own employees, view them as expendables. One of the fakest work cultures I have been a part of. Buyer beware, and that goes for employees/customers/partners

Hearing that you felt this was "one of the fakest" work cultures you've been a part of stings. As other reviewers have mentioned, our people and culture was one of their favorite parts about working here so knowing that you didn't share that sentiment means that there's room for us to improve. Unfortunately we don't feel your comment about lack of growth opportunities is accurate as we've promoted multiple people from Property Advisors to Senior Property Advisors and just last All-Hands we announced 4 other promotions in our Production Department. The KPIs have changed twice in the past 5 years which we don't deny and feel isn't abnormal for a startup. Once again, we appreciate your feedback but do feel that it's important for anyone who's considering joining Revive to get the full picture. We wish you the best of luck in whatever company you choose to join next.

Stepping Stone Job

Pros

Most of the people are great to work with. The job is very comfortable, not really expected to do much, can step out of the office for appts.

Cons

Not much direction for the company. No accountability from the top which trickles down to every employee. Since the job is very relaxed no one really takes it seriously. Cash flow problems make every department a mess.

While we are sad to hear that you only had a 2 star experience while working here, we appreciate the feedback and we 100% agree that the people here at Revive make it a great place to work. It does seem like you had a unique experience as "comfortable" and "relaxed" are not the words that any other reviewers have decided to use while describing the day to day here at Revive. As a startup, we have a lot to do and with 50-70 renovation projects going at any one time, there really isn't anyone here who isn't wearing multiple hats nor being asked to give 100%. We wish you the best of luck as you look for another role that will push you harder than you were here at Revive.
