      Great Coworkers, Low Pay

      Pros

      I love working in the school. My coworkers are absolutely incredible, and I truly think of them as my work family. Each person is genuinely interested in helping students achieve their goals and getting them across the line at graduation

      Cons

      The District doesn't offer raises (up until now, it's been at least 7 years), and often "forget" to move you up on the pay scale. This current raise is only 4% which doesn't help much for single-income households. After 10 years with the District, I still make under $30K, full time, 240 day contract. The health insurance benefits are great. Only stayed for the coworkers and benefits. APS and Bernalillo Public Schools pay much better

      The district has a small district feel to it with a stable leadership core.

      Cons

      A Financially challenged district . HR intentionally makes life more difficult than it has to for employees to save pennies.
