Pros

Excellent salary and real autonomy in dealing with clients. However, every year I have to reduce the number of clients receiving benefits, and my job depends on it, even when I know their claims are 100% legit.

Cons

Having to intentionally try to “trip up” beneficiaries with manipulative actions, ridiculous form requirements, and treating everyone receiving benefits as if they’re faking it! The absolute worst part of this job! Manipulating highly educated professionals, who’s brains are damaged due to an accident, is not what I’d hoped for when I took the job.

Pros

Fantastic place to work, great people, supportive culture, interesting work and an amazing sense of team. I really enjoy my job making a difference for consumers and advisors.

Cons

not many, vacation pay approach is a bit behind the times and parking in the building is expensive.,

Pros

Nice stable larger company and lots of great employees. Senior leadership seems engaged. Technology...as expected from a company this size. Pay also as expected.

Cons

Benefits such as PTO not competitive with the industry or corporate America. Start out at basically 2 weeks because you must count company holidays toward your balance. Unheard of. Also very behind the times with flexible work arrangements or telecommuting. Basically there is none. Very stringent rules about being in the office, leaves a feeling of not being trusted and zero work-life balance. Being down town is not for everyone.
