The people I worked with day to day

Management. Unrealistic expectations, awful communication. Each department had no idea what the other departments were doing. Low pay, lone working with breaks

Pros

- Working with the residents and building relationships with them - Staff working together as a team - Managers being open to accommodating other responsibilities staff may be juggling

Cons

- The pay given the level of physical risk from residents with challenging behaviour. - Sense continues to hemorrhage staff because they will not offer sponsorship to the staff that they spend money hiring and training. We are in a continual cycle of finally getting a full team of competent staff and then losing them, putting pressure on long-term staff who then need to train newstarts all over again.
