    Great, hardworking people, super creative environment, good work life balance, flexible on time, casual dress, a good place to grow.

    Cons

    Not a competitive salary especially for the area, no free food/lunches, no fun outings, depends on what team you are on.

    Pay employees competitive salary.

    Pros

    Great company and values. Love the concept they try to portray in most stores, however that doesn't apply equally in all locations.

    Cons

    Poor localized choices and career growth in smaller areas.

    Advice to Management

    Pay more attention to the lower volume stores. I transferred from a high volume and unfortunately being with the company for so long has lead me to leave due to the growth opportunities and atmosphere. Also, work life balance doesn't exist in retail.

    there is always good energy, amazing benefits, and so so so much to learn with all the education they give

    Cons

    only a 20% discount, however its better than nothing! Also its retail so you have to deal with some rude clients.

    Pros

    You work with some amazing people in store, a great variety of backgrounds. You might think the culture would be catty in a Makeup store, but it’s not at all. There are great training opportunities, and if you like working in retail, there’s no better medium than cosmetics to connect with clients and have fun selling.

    Cons

    There have been some reviews on this site from the corporate office, saying the organization is burning from the inside out. You feel that in store too. Changes in corporate lead to a disconnect in what is asked for in stores. And leaders in the field don’t stand up for what is reasonable (or even profitable). Everyone is a yes man, otherwise you’re labeled as having a fixed mindset.
    Decisions for trainings, special assignments, and especially promotions are based in politics and favoritism. One person liking you will make or break your whole career.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your frontline employees. Allow and encourage dissenting opinions. Use a collaborative approach for people decisions like promotions.
