Pros

There were some great colleagues

Cons

Leadership is the worst. No intregrity or ethics at the highest levels in Company. No training. No guidance. A complete mess. Constant Turnover. Do not apply for a job to work here. You will regret it.

Pros

Nice office, WFH flexibility (especially during covid), fun co-workers, cool swag (sometimes)

Cons

Management is tone-dear, abrasive and uncaring. Your concerns are brushed off and you are made to feel like you are too emotional. The culture is, again, tone deaf and leaders shrink away from opportunities to take a stand on social issues, locally and globally. Most gestures from management are too little, way too late. Gaining access to tools is frustrating, and a lengthy process. The company is in a transitional period and it shows. If you are looking for stability, i'd look elsewhere. There is a mass exodus currently going on, even though they are trying to sweep that under the rug. Lastly, There is NO empowerment whatsoever. Decisions go through Germany, end of story. The thought of being told what to do from across the pond without any consideration for NA work life, processes and procedures is scary, i'll pass.

Dear former colleague, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, we appreciate it. It's great to hear that you liked how we handle work settings – especially when working from home during the Covid crisis. Seems like you also enjoyed working with the other Serralians – that’s good to hear. Unfortunately, it's a shame that you didn’t feel heard and taken seriously by management. We try to make the exchange with management clearer and easier through our regular town hall meetings. How exactly can we give you more support here? You also talk about all decisions being made in Germany. We are constantly working on expanding our communication channels and fueling our employees with the information they need, making the process as transparent and accessible as possible. To understand your perspective better, it would be helpful if you could tell us a little bit more about where you feel information was lost, not clearly communicated or where you just wished for a different kind of engagement with employees. Your honest and open feedback is extremely valuable for us as it will help us to work on improvements and avoid employees feeling like you did. When it comes to the difficulty you experienced around the implementation of new tools, it would be helpful to understand what guidance we can offer to make this process easier and faster for the next time? All the best to you & thank you so much for your honest feedback. Nele

Pros

- some people are very good from a technical and personal level - there usually are more than enough clients and contracts to work on

Cons

- the HR department is a black hole; no light is coming out from there - the management works only by word of mouth, nothing in writing - rules and policies are being changed on-the-fly and never documented - usually the technology stack is very old; also the internal development practices seem to be made as difficult as possible - diverging interests between competing projects create issues, delays, misinformation in the project implementation - management has unrealistic views on the technical terms for project delivery to customers and together with the inability to negotiate a practical approach makes the actual delivery a very painful process that risks losing the customers, which has happened multiple times - additional payouts like bonuses, overtimes, expense reports are done after a few months and only if management and HR are being chased - the employment contracts are not fully compliant with the local legislation: there are some extra items that can lower the salary which are related to laws that are no longer valid; there are no local legally mandatory benefits, like meal tickets - the new management is not really interested in securing the immediate delivery for the existing customer, but chasing the next one; this leads to failed deliveries. They don't go in the respective meetings and avoid being available for these discussions or taking decisions in these matters.
