Pros

Mentorship (in my case being a Computer Science undergrad with no Neuroscience background), talks and guidance, immersion and insight into life in academic research, symposium, may get extra funding to attend conferences (I got the opportunity to visit an IEEE conference in Glasgow), funded trip to New York at the end!

Cons

School-life and fellowship balance since committing 10 hours per week along studies

Pros

Great pay and benefits (especially the company 401K match), free company trips, paid lunch and company-provided breakfast daily and interesting research topics.

Cons

The staff seems like a cult worshipping the company's philanthropic leader. What a weird group of people (there were a few exceptions). And add to that the camera surveillance was the most intense I've ever seen. One employee, in particular, was annoying and a constant nuisance.
