A start-up with maturity

Pros

One of the most experienced leadership teams I have worked with in a start-up. It really does feel like everyone is in the boat rowing together. Product and engineering teams are very happy to speak to customers and I have seen us release new features in swift times to meet customer demand.

Cons

We are selling a paradigm shifting technology in privacy. So we have a hard time of educating the market. We haven't yet figured out the right mix of marketing and sales to turn pipeline building into a machine.

Pros

Leadership is one of the best. In a time where people are being fired due to Covid-19, the leadership team proposed bonuses so we could help out others who were affected by the Pandemic. I know we've seen a lot of companies do it, but a start-up at this stage doing it was remarkable. I never expected something like this. Personally (My Parents thoughts) - Coming from a big stable company, joining a start-up which was just formed was a big No. But after this incident they completely changed their opinion about the company. Coming to the Colleagues, one of the smartest and nicest people you'll work with. Even when it was just a team of few people, they knew when to take a break, Go for an outing & celebrate. Tech: They use the latest & best in industry technology. Be it Open Source or Paid, if its going to add value and help us, it'll be used. They're trying to solve some of the craziest problems I've worked on till date. I would definitely recommend this place.

Cons

When it just started, there were few comforts missing. Of course, it was a very early stage start-up. However now when I look back, I feel those concerns have been completely addressed. All thanks to management for listening to our concerns and getting them rectified. So for now, No cons I can think of.

500 Internal Values Error

Pros

The product has potential. Remote work was one of the few consistently positive aspects. A few colleagues genuinely tried to do the right thing.

Cons

Leadership focuses heavily on external image rather than internal accountability. Social media is filled with posts about values, culture, and innovation, but the internal experience tells a very different story. People decisions are made with little transparency or empathy. Many employees have been waiting over years without raises or real growth. The product itself hasn’t gone through any meaningful evolution in that time either—just rebranded and repackaged to ride the latest hype cycles like AI, without addressing core user needs. The gap between external messaging and the real product experience continues to grow, and it’s affecting internal morale and focus.
