Pros

- flexible and remote work - some nice and smart people in the company

Cons

- suddenly decided to layoff 20% of the workforce completely out of the blue despite continuing to hire left, right and centre up until a few days before the announcement. some people had worked at the company for a matter of weeks before they were let go. - they'll make you redundant only to advertise your role again a few months later. - redundancy decisions were made unfairly and based on nepotism and favouritism rather than logical business reasons. - zero trust in SLT considering they've shown how little they care for their employees - lack of guidance and direction from above

Pros

Average salary Some nice people

Cons

The management - very hierarchical Communication - changes are not communicated to the teams, or only to certain employees within the same teams, leading to blame and lack of awareness Very cliquey - certain people have the power to push you out by using unjustified PIPs if you ask questions, have different needs, regardless of how well you’re performing. PIPs are thrown around like Oprah giving out gifts, “here’s a pip for you, and you, and you” Emphasis on inclusivity and mental health - but that’s not the reality, people with different needs are not made to feel welcome nor is mental health valued when you look at certain management styles Claims to be remote first - management put pressure on you to be in office, even if there isn’t a business requirement. Reasons used are “for the culture”. Pizza and drinks on a weekday is not culture Good people are leaving in droves due to poor leadership in some teams Lack of direction - there are constant experiments - without any clear thought gone into the process. Leaving a lot of uncertainty with the changes, and again open up to blame game. It is passed of as dynamic, but in reality it’s chaotic Very high turn over! People have left within 2 week of joining due to “culture” not being as advertised. No authenticity. Everything seems like it’s glazed over with a fake smile. And people seem hesitant to speak their mind due to upsetting the status quo. No honesty. No truth. No trust. HR check in when you join, few weeks later. Nothing for a actual review. Spoken to many people who haven’t had their 3 month review, let alone a proper 6 month review. HR taking what management say as “facts” without checking the lay of the land and getting to the truth. Seems their is just a focus on hiring new people, nothing is done to make sure current staff are thriving
