Pros

Hah, what a joke. The company lacks any pro's other than simply having a job.

Cons

Where to begin? The company now promotes a hybrid working scheme but previously this was completely WFH (you might think this is a pro; but I can assure you, it is not). They provide no equipment to do so, you are expected to use your own personal laptop and phone for all work matters which not only is a nuisance for you but also could/can/IS causing significant issues for GDPR for the company. GDPR has no meaning for the company and the clients they sign on as they disregard anything the client tells them regarding privacy and being called etc. The sales development executive job title is just a glorified call centre operative position as the company pressure you daily to maximise calls and all forms of communication for clients. They typically expect you to make 100+ calls, 100+ emails, to different clients per day harassing them to attend an online event which has been missold to them. You will be micromanaged so much throughout the day and week by multiple team leaders to make sure you are "working" and "meeting targets". Prepare to have your calls listened to and your emails read all with the fake excuse of "helping you meet targets and maximise your potential". Team leaders usually feel uncomfortable doing this however this pressure is put onto them by senior management also. If you join the company with the hopes of progression by doing your job well and being loyal to the company, be prepared to brown-nose senior management and fake befriend them in order to earn pay rises and promotions within the company. Most team leaders also hate their jobs and are only there as they have been breadcrumbed by the company into thinking they will work their way up to more senior positions. This is usually a lie and just a way to get you to work harder for longer without any results or reward. Managers in the position are usually grads who have been out of uni for 2/3 years and haven't had any training or experience in managing therefore don't have a clue on how to actually manage teams correctly and instead use the tactic of fear-mongering the sales team and pressuring them which doesn't prove successful at all as many leave after being treated like this. Leading to the worst staff turnover ever; even for a sales job. Expect new people to join weekly because people LEAVE weekly. Most leave before their probation period as the job and work environment are THAT bad. Save yourself, do not work here.

Pros

Teams are very young and social as most people join straight out of uni. So at least you have plenty of people to bond with at the pub over a mutual hatred for a poorly run company

Cons

£40k OTE is a lie and genuinely IMPOSSIBLE. At £10-£25 commission per sale, and a good month being 6-10 sales, you’re looking at £2-3k of commission per year before tax. And that’s if you hit your numbers which isn’t always done. The recruiters sell the job as being consultancy, events, international travel and all sorts to get you on board. This is completely untrue. The reality is EXTREME micromanagement from incompetent managers who are very inexperienced, 80-100 cold calls a day to people who really don’t want to speak to you, and sifting through LinkedIn bombarding people with messages to come to an online event. If you’re working from home and your laptop is offline for even a minute for any reason, you will get a bollocking as managers bully you into working, rather than positively encouraging and helping you. Every day is exactly the same from 8:30-17:30 with no variety and your soul will be dead by the end of your probation. The company has no interest in employee retention, so most people leave after a few months and new starters join on a weekly basis. They also have no interest in ensuring employee satisfaction. There is no HR and their support towards mental health is a weekly email that gets sent to everyone with a rubbish joke in it. Sick days are unpaid and holiday is only really 16 days as 4 are forcibly kept aside for Christmas, regardless of religion. Additionally, the selling point of ‘quick progression’ is ludicrous. Promotions are not made based on good performance but pure ass-licking and how long the person has been at the company. Hence why most of management barely have a brain cell between them.

Pros

None at all, it is just the worst

Cons

Where to start… Probably the most boring, unfulfilling, underpaid role to take on after graduating university. Business model is a scam Management is terrible, and have a combined IQ of minus 1 The CEO and family are clowns Both delegates and clients are avoiding these events like the plague due to serious and legally questionable overpromising and misuse of data Office is a dive and sucks the soul out of you You are promised travel but looks like virtual events are here to stay due to pure stinginess and probably not wanting to have to face angry clients in person Anything they tell you in the interview is a lie All the reviews above 1 star on here are fake, staff get asked to write them which is hilarious Talking of fake, have a look at the many made up LinkedIn accounts which you are forced to make to spam potential clients If you hate yourself and do decide to work here don’t expect the company to last much longer due to tarnishing valuable relationships and having an average employee turnover of about 1 month
