Mismanagement and poor team environment.

Pros

Get to collect a small paycheck each week.

Cons

The managers/leads are almost as dumb as the contractors that Strom hires. Its hard to promote a team environment when its a commission based job. Commission structure is out of reach and very hard to hit each week. They score you on how many clients you submit instead of how many people you actually get hired. The president will have an all team meeting telling everyone that there will be no bonuses or raises this year but then will buy two new cars the next week. The only way to get ahead is to work 7 days a week which will burn you out in a hurry or ruin your family life. If you do well at the job, the chances of getting promoted to sales actually works against you because mgmt can't afford to take you away from recruiting.

Pros

Other recruiters are fun.

Cons

The pay is low, no chance to hit targets. The Management is terrible, they brought someone in who doesn't know anything about recruiting but she says she does. If you want a job here make promises that you can do things for the company, they will hire you instantly. They don't care if they lose someone because they know they can find an average Joe off the street to replace them. Most people only stay a year because they realize there is no future within the organization. There are two offices, one in MN and the other in TX. Lot of tension between the two about stealing people and hours worked and call totals. Really wouldn't recommend working here, but it was a good starting point to get you comfortable on the phones for the next job.

Pros

Strom should not be in business.

Cons

I am an A&P/ IA/ management professional with 37 years of experience 21 years at Northwest Orient Airlines I worked for Strom for about 1 week, they have ZERO idea what they are doing, as well s the fact that they are a UNION busting group in a NON right to work stateDo not ever work for these folks for any reason at any time. Sincerely, a concerned aviation expert.
