Where to start! A division of Synergy - HCS (now Steris) where a culture of bullying, intimidation and lack of management is rife. HR are a toothless dragon, no point in relaying your concerns to them as no action is taken. MD shouted to a colleague so close to her face that she had to wipe the spit from her face and in front of an HR member of staff. All because she accused a management team member of bullying. No appreciation shown unless you're liaising with a member of the hierarchy. Staff turnover horrendous.. Since heard that the MD has gone, hopefully now the staff will be appreciated and someone will be taken on board who knows their job!. If you want a job where you're worked to death, shouted at, intimidated and where nepotism is rife then Synergy HCS (Steris) is the place for you.

I've just seen the review from a Derby staff member, and sorry to say, it's no better working at our site. We've got used to getting disciplinaries - sad eh? We have a dial at the bottom of our screens to tell us how fast we are working, we shouldn't have to work under this pressure to do this kind of job. Staff have been cut down, so now we are short staffed, staff are off sick with stress. Its noted, and we are told about how many dirty instruments we get when a set comes out of the washers, yes the WASHERS!! The machinery and equipment are poor quality and break down too often and is out of order for too long. Staff are nervous to be off sick. We are spoken to like crap. I suggest that it isn't necessary to look for any reduction in staff as the majority are looking for other jobs. We are the most visited staff by the union too!! Morale is extremely low. So Derby - you are not alone!!
