I worked at TMG full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Offices are fantastic, facilities and on site gym really new and well kept, team members are a great support

    Cons

Nearly all senior management have a chip on their shoulder, and have a very strange sense hatred to anyone who wears brown shoes. Seen and heard lots of bullying, and if you're good looking you'll do well, which is probably why the company hasn't made the money they thought they would

    "Please Don't Work Here"

I have been working at TMG full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Colleagues - best people ever.

    Cons

I worked here for 2 years and I felt suicidal for almost all of it. Most of us did. They employ young people who don't know what is fair in the workplace and bully them. More experienced, older people would not accept this kind of work environment. Look around - everyone is in their early 20's for a reason. One year they administered holiday days to us without our consent because all of our holidays were getting rejected (due to poor staffing) and needed to be used by the end of the year. This wasn't given to me in days - it was hours. I was forced to take 3 hours holiday on one day, 1 hour on another etc etc. until my allocation of days off was used. You have to stay working until the phone line is cleared. If that happens to be an hour after you finish your shift, so be it. No extra pay for that. If you are sick and come in to work but are off your game a little bit, you will be questioned why you are not taking enough calls. No "are you feeling OK?". I got a "stop going to the bathroom so much" (I was drinking more fluids because I was sick...). A colleague's mother had an incident and needed to leave to look after her - she got a warning because "work needs to come first" (verbatim quote from her manager, can you imagine anyone every saying that to you). You are not allowed your phone on the premises. You are not even allowed it in the car park. If it is snowing or raining (of course it is, it's Manchester) then you have to take off your warm shoes OUTside, put on your work shoes (black, NOT brown) before you enter, lest you make a poor impression on possible customers in the building (it's a call centre - no customers). Honestly please do not get a job here. You'll probably make great friends with some amazing people, but it takes years to get your self-confidence back once you get the hell out of there and work for a normal company which treats people with respect.
