Pros

Modern tech stack used in development.

Cons

The management and overall culture of Teamwork is extremely unprofessional. For example, I have personally overheard upper management discussing topics that were in the news, in the workplace. Needless to say a working environment shouldn't be a place to discuss such topics, especially by upper management who are supposed to be setting a good example. The Belfast office in particular was a very unpleasant place to work. Ego and passive aggressive behavior were not only accepted, but encouraged by the team lead. The belittling of individuals at team meetings occurred on a regular basis. There was also a lot of sucking up to the team lead by certain individuals, which created a bad atmosphere. Overall, I have a very poor experience of working there and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are a lot of jobs in this industry so I recommend simply looking elsewhere.

Pros

normal tech company perks (food drinks health insurance, pension, remote work ...) good holidays (30 days) most of other workers are friendly and get along well business is good company more open than other companies are some other reviews say there are gender problem but I have not experienced this everyone I work with will not care about gender or race.. as long as you do your work so I not know this does not mean the other reviews are not true though

Cons

COVID-19 layoffs were bad people that were with company for many years were laid off while new staff were being hired 20 staff was laid off but 10+ have been hired after it was not about COVID as claimed it was just used as excuse it seem like loyalty to the company does not mean much. Salary is ok pretty average If you work remotely in more expensive country you could end up getting paid 2x what someone with the same job in ireland is paid which is very unfair on irish staff working in irish company Performance reviews not great and each must be approved by HR even though HR have no dealings with most staff so they could not be in a position to see if a performance review is fair but staff have received no official explanation for this your yearly salary review is based on performance review but this salary increase if you get one mostly does not even cover the increase cost of living if you want a good salary you better get while applying for job Some management decisions do not make sense we were told that company would not be making statement on the BLM protests because we do not get involved in politics statements but a pride banner is added to teamwork I do not see how you can support one but not the other A lot of focus is put on teamwork product so other products are often ignored, members of teamwork product team do not have much say into work except for management people No real career opportunities due to size of company It may seem from the problem above that I do not like teamwork, but i still love my job and love most people at my company. I think it is still a good place to work

Pros

You get to work on really great products and you are also the user of that product which is pretty cool! The processes are quite fine tuned and it’s relatively easy getting started and stuck in to work. I also found it to be quite focussed on delivery which is nice when you enjoy your work. A lot of expertise and talent in the teams to learn from. Some amazing product managers/owners, designers and developers who are very skilled at what they do! And they don’t realise how much I gained from their knowledge and expertise! Some really nice people in the teams who are always willing to help and are very positive and can really lift the mood. They also provided a lot of nice little perks- gifts delivered, social quizzes (for the dreaded lockdown) and had very very nice offices!

Cons

Although i enjoyed the work itself and there were some great team players, in my experience there was a lot of internal politics that created a bit of friction and stress. Especially when it came to new ideas and collaboration both across products/features and sometimes within the product team and leadership. Some cliquey groups and personality clashes amongst team members meant at times there was a hostile atmosphere on some of the calls. This remained consistent and was one of the main reasons i left - felt like i didn't belong. Quite a few decisions from high level management were driving product decisions without much input or feedback from product team itself or research which made the job harder and less enjoyable - didnt feel my experience/talent/skill was fully being used or appreciated. It was also frustrating that other team members skills and talents weren't being fully recognised either and I feared they might leave. I didnt think there was a clear route for progression or career development, unless you were close with leadership, or they knew you personally.
