Pros

Provides great benefits and bonuses.

Cons

Management support is minimal, and employees are not provided with the proper tools or resources to perform effectively. Work schedules are inconsistent and frequently change without notice. Extended hours and six-day workweeks are often required with no additional compensation. The work environment discourages questions or feedback, promoting a rigid "do as you're told" mentality. Additionally, there is little consideration for time off—employees are still expected to manage their responsibilities while sick or on vacation.

Pros

The work is fun, always something to do, benefits were pretty good, most coworkers are polite and nice.

Cons

Taking time off was sometimes difficult, SOP and regulations change often, some coworkers were less than nice, lots of drama.

Pros

We perform a greatly needed service and work with some of the best people I've even known. Donors are a lot of fun to interact with and we have many regulars which love to put smiles on our faces. Great benefits and some departments have amazing management (just not mine). Their PTO accrual and 401K are amazing.

Cons

While there are some managers within the company who are amazing, others are a nightmare to work under. You tend to get a lot of conflicting information in this role. Many of the managers are new, inexperienced in this field, and truly have no clue what they are doing. As a result, turnover in this role is high. You have to be able to lift and carry a lot of heavy supplies sometimes for half a mile or more depending on parking at your events. You will be using your own vehicle to carry everything around in. You get a corporate card, but end up using your own and getting reimbursed when yours is either maxed out from the pitifully small limit or doesn't work at a retailer unexpectedly. You'll be working outside almost daily in all weather conditions. Hope you enjoy micromanagers because your every decision will be examined and questioned every step of the way. You're expected to roll with changes in policy, which happen at the whim of your manager, and daily conference calls, regardless if you're at a busy blood drive. If you want a true day off, you have to use PTO to remain unbothered by your manager for a whole day, and even that isn't guaranteed (one of my coworkers was being pestered with texts and emails even when they were on PTO).

Pros

Best pay for entry phlebotomy position

Cons

Micromanaged through security cameras, phlebotomists blamed for literally anything wrong with a donation even if there was nothing to be done to help it, actual managers and higher ups did not care one bit about how hard they were working everyone below them, schedules were a nightmare and would be handed out the night before the start of the work week

Pros

The pay is fantastic - that's how they rope you in. So are the benefits. (However, the grass is not always greener!) Some of the staff there truly care about the mission.

Cons

"Leadership" is TOXIC. It's great they promoted from within, but those in the C-Suite never grew up. If someone professionally disagrees with them, they fire them. Their vision is not in-line with reality. Leading by fear tactics only gets you so far. Major politics are played in this company - so if you're not good at politics, this is not the place for you. Nepotism is the way of life. Sometimes it's a good sign when leadership has all been with a company more than 10 years. Other times it's a huge RED FLAG. In this case - it's very red. There have been complaints filed about lower-level leadership, including inappropriately handling staff timecards, affecting their pay; bullying; and more, yet no changes were ever made.

Pros

The benefits are good, plus you have an opportunity to learn a lot of new skills from CDL to Phlebotomy.

Cons

The hours are not guaranteed, also a lot of people are not donating.

Pros

The pay is decent. The opportunity for bonuses is good. And the benefits are good.

Cons

1. ZERO work/life balance. 2. Management is horrible. I mean. Absolutely horrendous.
