Cons

Toxic Culture & High Turnover: There is a pervasive "small-town high school" atmosphere characterized by extreme favoritism and a non-positive environment. It is a known fact within every department that employees are often pushed to leave within 1–2 years. The turnover is so high that the office culture has shifted to "congratulating" those who manage to move on. • Management & Accountability: Management takes zero accountability for failures. Instead, they frequently identify a "scapegoat" to blame for systemic issues. Everything from harassment to unfair treatment is consistently swept under the rug. • Zero Growth Opportunities: Promotions almost exclusively go to leadership or their favorites. There is no room for professional learning or career advancement for the average employee. • Lack of Justice & Discipline: Paradoxically, it is extremely hard for problematic individuals to be fired, even when serious issues occur. HR provides no justice for unfair or potentially illegal treatment, leading to a culture where "huge problems" result in zero action. • Location & Compensation: The compensation is unfair and does not reflect the workload. The insistence on staying in Kearney keeps the business grounded in a stagnant mindset; moving to a major city is necessary to escape this downhill trajectory. • Advice to Management: HR needs to start doing better for the people who come to them. Stop allowing a clique-driven culture to push out talent. Until you address the harassment and lack of accountability, the "home office misery" will continue to drive the company into the ground.

Pros

You get to learn the ins and outs of how managers run their stores.

Cons

It is literally just a basic sales job; there is nothing differentiating you from another part-time worker. They also push you onto people to make them spend as much money as they can, which seems very slimey.
