Pros

The only pros for working with this agency is the children. The children are the main reason anybody is willing consider to continue working for CDD.

Cons

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked for. Management is extremely unorganized and do not care about the best interest of the children or their employees. The employees are not qualified to work with children with special needs. And the people who are actually qualified to work with this population leave as soon as they can because the way the children are treated is horrible. Employees come and go like a revolving door. When I was first hired I thought I couldn't work there because of how the workers spoke to the children, it was like their way of getting the children to listen was to cause them fear. I had no choice but to give the company a chance since I had just resigned from my prior job. It was to my suprise that when a worker addressed the abuse they witnessed to management, there was no consequence or changes made to fix the problem. I would NEVER want my child to attend CDD or would I recommend any parent to enroll their children at this "school/residence" ... There is no growth for the children who attend this school, the agency will do anything to make the parents believe that this is the best school for them. It is very sad actually, especially since these children are the best part of this job. Everyone is miserable who works at this place, all day everybody would complain about how much they hate the job and how much they hate how the place functions. Pay is very low, no matter if you have a GED or a masters degree, the difference in pay is a couple dollars. Hopefully this place will be shut down soon, so the children will be at a safer and happier environment.

Pros

Prior to the company being bought out by IGHL it was a great place to work.

Cons

After bought by IGHL, they cut my pay by nearly $4 per hour. I lost so much money, and when I left they did not give me the proper payout for all of my vacation time. After all is said and done they robbed me of over 2 thousand dollars, all through legal loopholes.
