      Like a cult

      Pros

      There is nothing positive to say, the high star reviews are all fake.

      Cons

      Horrific place, genuinely the worst place I have worked. There is no plan, no strategy and senior management are not capable of creating one. If you question this, they make you feel like you should just trust and have faith, it’s like a cult, complete with brainwashing. The management and Board are cruel, unkind and unpleasant. Do not work there, you will regret it.

      Good work-life balance, international NGO with possibility to travel, though limited to own country, mostly experienced partners on the ground

      Cons

      Bad management, little mentoring, little scope for original ideas, not much organisational spirit, office politics, huge salary differentials

      Unfortunate end to what could have been a great opportunity

      Pros

      Some of the most hardworking peopleI've met and worked with. Mostly kind team. Slack is cool. Remote work is a dream and a major pro! Met great people, learned a lot, and worked on interesting projects.

      Cons

      Not too much opportunity for growth unless you start at a higher level. I chose to leave my position after getting no support from HR or management about the concerns of my job duties changing, constantly. My supervisor then chose to cut my hours (on the spot) without written documentation, reasoning, or a transition plan that warranted the reduction. This felt deeply punitive and retaliatory. Although it may be legal to do technically, no one should be subjected to this treatment without HR involvement.
