Pros

It’s a job that will hire anyone they can scam.

Cons

Everything! Their business is to sue families that cancel care and to sue former employees. They care only about money, keeping their high turn-over rate, and care nothing about the consistency of care for children.

Pros

The other teachers and the kids.

Cons

I worked as a teacher at The Learning Tree for just over a year, and unfortunately, my experience was largely negative. There are several serious issues within the enter that I believe parents and potential employees should be aware of. One of the biggest concerns is the lack of communication from management. Teachers are often left in the dark about important information - such as when new students are joining the class or moving up from another class. New policies are often introduced without proper communication, and teachers are then blamed for not following them. Classroom ratios are also frequently out of compliance. In the Pre-K room, where the ratio should be one teacher to twelve 4-5 year-olds, they often place 3-year olds in the same room but do not adjust the ratio accordingly. At that age, the correct ratio should be one teacher for every ten children. Another issue is the lack of support from management. If a teacher calls for help, it's common to receive no assistance. In situations where a child is hurt, the responsibility often falls unfairly on the teacher- even when supervision is streched due to staffing shortages. Furthermore, there is little to no accountability for children who display consistently distruptive or harmful behavior, which makes it difficult to maintain a safe and productuve learning environment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend The Learning Tree to parents or prospective employees. The management team is inexperienced and there is a clear lack of support for both staff and students. I urge families to explore other childcare options that prioritize safety, communication, and staff well-being. This place looks all fancy and nice on the outside, but it is truly not on the inside.
