      Pros

Worked in a good team, helped each other out. Steady full-time work. Great experience firsthand if you are interested in being a buyer, Assistant Buyer etc

      Cons

No growth in the team I was in, monotonous tasks, no company christmas parties/ social events for staff. Clock in and out. Managers are so young, and need more training. Even though there is a HR department, there may as well not be one as they didn't help in certain matters.

14 Feb 2021 - Warehouse Operative in Bristol, England, England

      Pros

Fellow colleagues One or two competent and helpful managers such as Ben and Kurt.

      Cons

Certain aspects of lower management in terms of team leaders and line managers. The work environment was appalling - an infestation of rats was clearly visible in all areas of the warehouse. The enormous amounts of rat feces left a repulsive and disgusting smell through the warehouse. Nepotism was rampant throughout the warehouse. Certain individuals within management couldn't delegate accordingly within their roles and were incompetent in fulfilling their duties. Worst canteen ever. Overpriced products with no healthier alternatives but just a majority of processed foods with a 2x price cost in comparison to supermarket prices. The disregard of worn-out equipment and machinery led by management led to a reduction in productivity and efficiency, yet all levels of management still expected and emphasized on KPI's and targeted forecasts to be hit on a daily basis. This wouldn't be a problem if they invested in new equipment and machinery enabling their staff to perform efficiently with no distractions and lack of working equipment. I could go on for days with regards to the cons and somewhat adversity you'd face in trying to adequately do your job but the barriers of certain incompetent management and faulty equipment and machinery would persist you from doing so.
