      Terrible Pay

      Pros

      Free food. Smart and friendly people.

      Cons

      Base salary is below market rate, with very little bonus payout over the years. Technology lagging behind. Many bright people have left in the past few years.

      Finally going down the pan

      Pros

      Food, fun people to have a laugh and a joke with, chilled out vibe if you're not fussed about getting a bonus and fancy an easy 9 to 5

      Cons

      Overheads so high the company hasn't made any money for years. Haven't paid a bonus to anyone for three bonus rounds (well over a year) as a result. Everyone running around like headless chickens. All senior traders have left so average age on the trading floor about 24. Unable to hire anyone due to increasingly poor reputation. All their eggs in the basket of an automated trading system that doesn't work. Seems like shareholders trying to get what they can out while they can.

      Decent pay, no prospects, terrible environment

      Pros

      Base salary is good, some people are incredibly smart. Free lunch on offer is superb, decent facilities outside of working environment.

      Cons

      OVerall morale is incredibly low, terrible lack of team mentality, very cut-throat management, extremely limited prospects in terms of career progression, company on way down as competitive advantage they used to have is degrading.
