-Terrible management styles (authoritarian, micromanaging, dishonesty, immature)
-Very inexperienced people promoted to positions they have no business being in; shame on the people who chose to promote them, too. They are setting not only that inexperienced person up for failure, but it also has a ripple effect to the people that inexperienced person "supervises" (but that's ok... you can just fire them! problem solved!)
-Very unwelcoming office (with the exception of a few very amazing individuals)
-Cliquey
-Favortism
-They do not announce open positions and allow interested and qualified people to interview; It seems like they select who liked their Instagram picture the fastest or has the cutest water bottle or something; Certainly not based off of knowledge, experience, performance, or overall morals.
-Not supportive; they always default to an "us vs. them" model; it is like being in high school. Gross. They are missing so many opportunities to be great by sinking to that mindset. What a waste of potentially intelligent and talented people! Although there are certainly a few individuals I am fine with never having to interact with again... I am not saying that that the management staff at TS do not have the ability to be great. But if they keep heading this direction... the company will cave in. You cannot expect staff retention and maintain a good reputation within the community behaving this way. BCBAs may vent to/confide in Lead Therapists, Lead Therapists may do the same with the RBTs, the RBTs may do that with some of the families they feel close to . The word is getting out about how unprofessional and profit-minded the management and admin staff are. Does the management get bonuses or something for recommending more hours than what is ethically needed? I am in upper management and I actually have a caseload and have to work. I get no kickbacks for being ridiculous like that. This is reality people! Why not turn it around and do something amazing for our kids and their families... and the field! You guys have so many resources at your disposal! Try using them instead of the petty drama! My god! It is in the Ethical Guidelines to teach the community the truth about the field of Applied Behavior Analysis... this behavior is embarrassing and making everyone who still cares look STUPID.! I have an extra Burch and Bailey if anyone needs a refresher! :) Model the behavior you want to see. Get out of the little gossip circle and come back to reality and do the job that you clearly have the potential to do... given you prioritize what is important (i.e. THE KIDS.... not what RBT you "don't like" this week or what new BCBA gave you "attitude". Grow up.)
