Pros

The other coworkers and the residents definitely were the best part of the job. My coworkers and residents made the job tolerable at least.

Cons

I was at the Vancouver location and the management and directors suck. They don't care about the employees, especially the new ones. The directors definitely pick favorites for coworkers. They are always understaffed and when they ask if you can work any upcoming shifts and you're not able to, they get crabby with you and treat you with disrespect and screw up your schedule, usually taking away hours and/or making you work crap shifts. Some of the employees can be very clique-ish and will talk about you behind your back with other employees. The pay scale sucks too. I have over four years of experience as a caregiver and I made less at this job than I did with my previous job when I had less experience. I know I'm worth more than what they pay me for, and for as much as they charge the residents PER MONTH to live in that place, you'd think they would be able to pay more to their employees instead of letting all the managers and directors receive all the benefits. Maybe that's why they are so understaffed, but the management doesn't care because they aren't the ones who have to get their hands dirty.

Pros

Residents were the best part of the job.

Cons

Would have given minus rating to the company, if it were available. This will be a dead end job for you if you decide to join this company. They change your hours without giving any notice. People who have been working with the company for long, assume that they run the show and behave extremely unprofessionally with the new employees. Its a very poor work culture, where decisions are made in the most barbaric form. You deal with your coworkers to get vacation hours, or get them to pull their weight. No body really cares for you as an employee. You are just one more piece in the puzzle who will be replaced without even a notice.
