Some nice people to work with

Cons

If you live a commutable distance from St Albans and want to avoid working in London add one point. If you fancy the occasional trip to the command centre in Paris(who doesn't like freshly baked baguettes?), add one point. If you think that doing your job is not enough and a pay rise in line with inflation is only deserved by the top performers in the company, add a point. If you like pretending you are working agile when you are not, that's another point. If you can turn a blind eye to a culture of blame, you can add a point for that too. If you like working with distributed teams but you prefer not to meet your team in person, add one point. If you the carrot and stick style of management, that is worth 2 points. If your total is 10 or more then Trace One is a great place for you to work.

We sincerely sorry that your experience at Trace One did not go as we would have liked, and we will not fail to pass on your testimony to our teams. Our teams work in a pleasant environment in St. Albans nearby the station. Our office offers convivial spaces and we regularly organize corporate events to strengthen team cohesion. Our employees benefit from a working from home policy to avoid commuting and to have a god private/professional life balance. Our Engineering teams work in squads following the Spotify model and we use the latest technologies openAPI's, REACT, lastest version of C#. As for salary packages we rely on benchmarks to ensure our compensation is competitive against market. We therefore reiterate our sincere regrets about your experience, but we can assure you that this is an isolated case, and we will ensure that it remains so.

Pros

Some fantastic colleagues within the company, and also some great benefit schemes provided. Potential is there in the company, however with the current Managment and structure, this potential is becoming less obvious.

Cons

Terrible mnagament team, poor wages, poor retention of current customer base, big cuts throughout the company. Management team need to work together to restructure Trace One in a way that both focuses on the future and also keeps current clients happy. Trace One must also ensure they appreciate and reward key colleagues who are keeping the company going.

Dear colleague, thank you for your review. As you point out, conviviality at work and good internal work relations are very much appreciated by our employees. We encourage it by organizing events such as parties, seminars or after-works. As for benefits and salary packages we use benchmarks to ensure our compensation remains competitive against market. Trace One is undergoing a transformation to focus on customer care, on innovating with regards to our solutions and on developing its sales culture. Meanwhile we are sorry for your evaluation of the management. At Trace One, new managers are engaged based on their skills, experience and leadership qualities. We implemented a Trace One Manager Academy to develop our managers and launched 360° evaluation to measure progress.

Pros

ideal job as a first time office job with the intentions of moving on within a year. opportunities to move departments to gain new skills. opportunities to go abroad to visit customers.

Cons

The customer support team are Ill-equipped to deal with customers issues due to poor or total lack of training. management and directors have no idea how to help the customer support team to achieve the targets that they themselves set. The department is unable to cover support hours agreed in customer contracts due to being understaffed. The management/Directors attitude towards this is "hopefully they'll just stop" ringing' The company will say or do anything in order to get a customer contract signed without consulting any other departments of the business to ensure what they have promised is actually deliverable. Pay gaps between employees are huge even when they are doing the same job. The customer support department for UK is literately being held together by 2 people currently.
